China steel apparent consumption is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of over 9% during 2011-2014, says RNCOS in its latest research report.
According to our new research report “China Steel Industry Analysis”, China has the largest steel industry in the world driven by the increasing demands for rapid urbanization and many large-scale infrastructure projects. The global steel industry received severe setback in terms of declining steel demand and production cut by the global steel majors. However, China managed to increase its production due to the surging domestic demand. Consequently, we anticipate that the apparent consumption of steel will grow at a CAGR of over 9% during 2011-2014.

As per our research, rising demand for steel products, such as steel strips, sheets, and coils, has been driven by the rapid modernization of the country’s economy, construction, infrastructure, and manufacturing industries. Along with this trend, various other strong fundamental drivers discussed and analyzed in the report will enable this industry to sustain its upward growth trend in the coming years.

Further, our report reveals that Chinese steel industry has traditionally been focusing on the production of long products, which are widely used in residential and non-residential construction (such as bars, wires, tubes, and sections). However, we have found that the demand for flat products, which are used extensively in manufacturing (such as steel strips and sheets), has been growing at a much faster rate for the past few years compared to the long ones.

Our report “China Steel Industry Analysis”, is a comprehensive study of the world’s largest steel industry, and presents detail analysis on its various parameters, such as production and consumption pattern, type of steel products namely long products and flat products, and major exporting & importing countries. The report also outlines the past and future market trends and discusses the industry trends and growth drivers. Besides, the report has identified key players in the industry and includes their detail business description along with their recent activities. Additionally, the report presents an insight into the regulatory reforms in the country and recent regulatory developments in the country’s steel industry.
